Book Exhibitors


The organizers of NELS 35 also welcome and encourage publishers to display and sell their books throughout the conference. The charge will be $75 for half a table, $150 for a full table, and $200 for a full table and a published advertisement in the program booklet and on the website. For non-profit publishers we accept donations of books in the approximate amount of the table fee.

The book exhibit will be situated in an open area adjacent to the conference hall and will run through the entire duration of the conference. However, space will be limited on Friday.

Child Care

We regret to inform you that child care will not be provided for the duration of the conference. Please make your own arrangements if you are planning to bring a child with you.
Poster Session
The size of poster boards will be 4 feet tall * 6 feet wide.
ASL Interpreter Services and
Other Forms of Assistance

We are happy to provide ASL interpretation services, as well as any other necessary accommodations, to attendees with difficulties in hearing, sight or mobility. However, because of the difficulty of providing such accommodations at the last minute, we ask that anyone in need of these services both pre-register and contact Sandy K. Wood at sandra.k.wood@uconn.edu by October 1, 2004. We cannot guarantee to be able to provide accommodations to those registering after the deadline.

All sessions will be ASL/English interpreted. There will also be ASL/English interpreters available for any last-minute meetings and at the reception. Please email or check with Sandra K. Wood as soon as you are aware of any extra interpreting needs.

If there are any other accessibility needs such as English-oral interpreting, Deaf-Blind interpreting, or CART, etc.. please contact Sandra K. Wood.

Parking


Participants who plan to drive to Storrs for NELS 35 should be aware of the following rules in order to avoid parking problems. Visitors may park in metered lots and in North or South Parking Garages. Generally, they may not park in student and faculty lots.
However, visitors may park in any legal space (avoid fire lanes, hydrants, etc.) after 4 pm on a weekday and all day Saturday and Sunday. During Friday before 4:00 pm we recommend to park in the South Garage (closer to the Conference Room) or in the North Garage. For a map of parking areas go to:

Please be aware that because of overlap with Homecoming Weekend parking space may be limited. Garage rates are listed here:

Participants who will be staying at the Nathan Hale Inn may use the hotel's parking lot.
